May 1984 saw an informal get-together of five X1/9's at the Castle Combe racing circuit in Wiltshire, where the Alfa Romeo Owners Club were holding a track day. From this first meeting, the X1/9 Owners Club was born and now has a thriving membership the world over. The Club exists to bring together X1/9 enthusiasts, to share experiences and to promote understanding and enjoyment of X1/9 motoring.

A committee, elected from the membership at the A.G.M., guides the Club and looks after its' day to day running in their own free time. All members are encouraged to take an active role in the Club, they are after all, what we are all about.
