Hopefully we've seen the last of the snow now and we can start dusting down our cars for the summer ahead.  There's loads of events to look forward to in the coming year so keep checking out our events page for more details.  In particular, this coming weekend the Club will be present at the NEC for the Practical Classics Classic Car and Restoration show.  Andy has been busy pulling together a collection of fantastic X1/9s to display. Don't forget, Club members benefit from a discounted entry fee.  In addition, Martin has been planning this year's Club National Event.  More details will be released over time, but be sure to pencil in 7th-9th September.

The X1/9 Owners' Club 2016 National Event took place over the Bank Holiday weekend in Kirkudbright, Scotland and was a great success with some fine weather and lots to see and do, including the Kirkudbright Classic Car show and annual Tattoo.  Write ups and photos will appear in the next mag.  A HUGE thanks to Ewen for all the effort he put into organising the event.  Now, where will 2017 take us...

Now that the weather is dark, wet and cold and our cars are tucked up for the winter, we need something to look forward to in 2017.  We might have just the tonic for you - Sharon and Ray have been busy planning next year's National Event in Bridlington, East Yorkshire on the 8th to 10th September. We're holding it in conjunction with the Bridlington Weekend of Motoring, so there's sure to be loads going on.

Download the attached pdfs for further details (paid up members only).

It's been a busy year for the Club, participating in a large number of events in 2015.  We've had a stand at the Practical Classics Restoration Show at the NEC for the first time, attended the Prestatyn Classic Car Show (this has become quite a regular fixture), Stafford Italian Masters Car Fayre, Stanford Hall Summertime Classics and The Classic, Kit and Retro Action Day at Castle Combe. Following on from last year's National Event as Silverstone Classic, we attended again this year and also entered the London to Brighton Run for the first time.  The Club's National Event in Devon was a great success too.

We're also sorting out some events for next year.  We've had the dates through for next year's Prestatyn show, Ewen is busy organising a National Event in Scotland plus we're considering a jaunt across the Channel.

That's all to come though. More imminent is the Classic Motor Show at the NEC on 13th-15th November.  As usual, Andy has been busy organising our stand there so if you're free this weekend, why not pop by and say hello.
