NEC Classic Motor Show - November 15th,16th & 17th

NEC Classic Motor Show

Yes, it’s now only about a month until this event.

The club has once again been successful in having a stand at this year’s Classic Motor Show on November 15th, 16th & 17th. (See advert on home page)
We will be located in hall 8 stand 8-315

The NEC is probably the largest classic motor show of the year and will be featuring Wheeler Dealers, Mike and ED!

We have four great cars for display this year:
Jim Freestone’s green 1300
Mark Perry’s modified green masterpiece
Neil Ottoway’s white 1500
And my GF.

If you are planning on attending the show, we would be grateful if anyone could help out on the stand on the Fri/Sat/Sun, please send me a PM.

If you are attending the show anyway, please come and say hello on the club stand.
Also, don’t forget to use the club member discount code when purchasing tickets.

I particularly need help on the Saturday.

I'll be there on the Saturday so it will be good to catch up if you can make it Terry. Here's some pics of my car getting ready for the show. I've had the wheels freshly powder-coated and she's all prepped for painting.

Just installed my refurbished Alcantara seats back in the car.

The car has passed it's MOT so all set for the NEC on Thursday.

Looking forward to seeing as many members as possible over the weekend.

The stand will have some nice cars on it again hope you have a successful weekend.

Yes, I managed to get it done quicker than I thought, I used a chap down near Milton Keynes who Chris Capp recommended to me. So I took my seats and a collection of Alcantara remnants down to him and he replaced the worn areas and put some discreet strengthening under the bench part.
Hopefully these should last a few years now if I keep them out of the sunlight!

Well, we're all set up, the cars are there cleaned and polished and all ready for the show now.

Great Job done by Andy, the show is excellent (well organised with excellent information and planning).
If any of you members get a chance to go today or tomorrow i can highly recommend it and i think the club would appreciate your support.

I went yesterday, very good show. Popped over to the stand & had a chat, that Lancia motor 'shoe horned' in looks the nuts.

The show has finished and back home now.

It's been another excellent show with lots of interest shown in the cars.

Thanks to Neil and Mark for bringing their cars along, they certainly caused a lot of interest with the superb paint job on Neil's car and the excellent modified project done by Mark!

Sadly Jim Freestone's 1300 broke down on route to the NEC and had to miss the show, which was a great shame.

Thanks also to the members who came and helped out on the stand during the weekend, in particular, Phil & Lorraine Morris, Andrew & Derek Punter and Ian Gould.

Hopefully we can do it again next year!!

Well, that was a fun but tiring weekend. It was great to meet some new people and to catch up with some old friends. Frosty popped by on Saturday afternoon and Jim who used to do Regalia until about 5 years ago stopped by today. We also met Rob W's sister and nephew today.

A big thank you to Andy for organising another great NEC. He makes it look so easy, but I know there's loads of work that goes into it
