Sad News - The untimely death of Nik Lear was created by Ewen Brown
The X1/9 Owners Club is deeply saddened to inform members of the untimely death of ex member, X1/9 and Italian car enthusiast, Nik Lear.
Nik was loved and well known throughout the Italian car clubs especially AROC and our own X1/9 Owners Club. He was very much part of our family and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Nik's funeral will be held on Thursday 5th May at 2pm at St. Peters Church, Langford Budville near Wellington. Attendees are kindly asked to wear bright colours or car club t-shirts instead of customery black suits.
Nik was Italian car enthusiast and with this in mind and understanding his passion for rusty old Fiats and Alfa's, it would be wonderful to see as many Italian cars as possible on the day. One last raduno for our great friend, who lived and breathed Italian metal
No flowers and donations will be to Exeter renal unit.
Please contact Nick Gibbons for further information on 07772904271 and send any memories and or photos to gibbons.n@tiscali.co.uk

sorry to hear this news i had a text conversation with Olly Vayle today he is very upset i know he and Nick were very close, the times i met Nick i found him a lovely guy, friendly, funny and never complained about his health even though it wasn't always good, Olly was with him a few days before and Nicks passion for x1/9s had been reignited with a purchase of a 1300 he was restoring, a really nice guy sorely missed
