North west owners

Hi everyone 

Finally managed to meet up with a lot of members at the 2025 national event in Buxton was blown away by the kindness and attitude of all the members that shown up. First time I’ve met a lot of you and me and my partner had a great time in Buxton. So the reason of the topic I have been in touch with Andy and asked to take over the Vacant role of north west region I am looking for any members in the north west that would like to come and have a couple of meet ups I have 4 other exys that will come along with myself.

I love x1/9s after years and years of watching the old 1992-1996 videos my dad had same name as myself with my grandad bob Hewitt who used to run the northwest sector back in the day finally owning and meeting the members I see why they had the passion still to this day. I’m pretty sure a few members on this site will remember them and there meetings they had.

Well there’s gotta be a few more hiding in the forum somewhere I have another 3 or 4 located around the Merseyside area a lovely vs and two more 1500 hopefully will start doing some meet ups in the north west next year so keep your eyes peeled for the meets upcoming 

Hi David, I've only just joined the owners club (16/12/2025) I'm located in North Manchester. 1981 X1/9 5 speed in Gold, hopefully we'll meet up at some of the 2026 gatherings. All the best Charles.
