What part is this and how can I source another!?

Hi All,

I am just trying to get my delightful red X19 1989 back on the road an in replacing the distributor rotor arm and points I found that when i removed this strange plastic securing arm it snapped and I have no idea where to source another from!




Sorry to be a bit of a tool but I have contacted eurosport, autosports and have had the same response - good luck!
It is from an S178 distributor - was this used on any other car? Again, I cant find anything online about it.

Any information on a replacement, who sells them or an alternative suggestion is most welcome.

So annoying as this part has basically grounded the poor car

What did it do? You might want to consider an electronic ignition conversion if you need and can't get a replacement. There are several very good conversions that fit into the original distributor e.g the 'Aldon Ignitor' (not sure they do one for an X1/9 set up). Much better spark management and no maintenance. You could just replace the distributor for one of another X1/9, I might have one lurking in the garage if interested
